As Vice President of Supply Chain for IBM, Ron Castro is responsible for all strategy, execution and transformation of IBM’s global end to end supply chain, delivering to clients across more than 170 countries. This transformation is inclusive of thought leadership, global talent development and is supported by a culture of engagement, agility and innovation. Ron is leading the digital and cognitive transformation for supply chain leveraging emerging technologies to build transparent, intelligent and predictive supply chains at scale.

Prior to his current role, Ron served as Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain Execution for the company, including global manufacturing, brand and market operations –plus overall supply chain execution for IBM hardware and software – accountable for global operations of 11 manufacturing and fulfillment sites worldwide.

Ron also spent four years in Shanghai, China as IBM’s senior executive responsible for supply chain operations for the Growth Market Unit, supporting emerging regions, and developing a unique global perspective.

Ron is committed to advancing global leadership development, as well as excellence in skills development and education. He is an executive board member of DBMA’s Supply Chain Leaders in Action, National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturing Leadership Council, and University of Tennessee Supply Chain Institute Advisory Board. Ron is an active member of the IBM Hispanic Council, which is focused on driving important initiatives for the Hispanic community at IBM. Ron serves in the Board of Directors for Haven House Services.

Ron holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management from Purdue University. He is recognized as a supply chain thought leader, who delivers fast and impactful results in multi-cultural and complex environments.

A father of two children, Juliana and Alberto, Ron enjoys spending time doing outdoors activities, like camping, skiing and taking family trips to his native country of Costa Rica.

A strong communicator, collaborator, and team builder, Nathan helps clients translate business goals into innovative technology strategies and then execute flawlessly to deliver desired business outcomes. His professional experience has fostered a unique blend of business savvy and deep technical expertise that enables him to bridge traditional organizational silos to keep programs focused on vision and results.

Over the course of his career, Nathan has gained extensive experience in a wide array of technology disciplines and solutions, from data centers and converged infrastructures, virtualization, and security, to enterprise productivity, content management, and online collaboration tools. He is also adept at building high-performing technology service organizations.
Nathan joined West Monroe Partners from Denali Advanced Integration in Redmond, Washington, for which he held several vice president roles. Among other responsibilities, he led a business unit responsible for developing and delivering an innovative data center product, as well as the firm’s Infrastructure Services organization and its teams of system engineers and solution architects serving clients across an array of markets and solutions.

Previously Nathan was a vice president of intranet platform integration for JP Morgan Chase in Seattle and in a similar role with Washington Mutual Bank.

Nathan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an International Business concentration and Economics minor from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.

He is responsible for driving sales, solutions and delivery responsibilities. He is a thought leader in digital strategy, new business models, cloud based services and specializes in monetization models of new business models with As a Service creating an eco-system based strategy for his customers. His recent work on Cognitive manufacturing driving robotics process automation, industry 4.0, digital manufacturing strategy (both business and IT) has led him to speak and publish in various large conferences. He has delivered supply chain management and manufacturing processes and operations improvements with a special skill in visionary leadership coupled with creative solutions. He has been in lead advisory roles for customer experience and digital strategy for Fortune 500 clients.

Project Highlights: 

  • Led a large transformational industry 4.0 process and operations improvement, automation and monetization program with a large heavy equipment organization bringing in automated inspection affecting $7M bottom line improvement with predictive maintenance and analysis
  • Led a large distribution channel strategy and execution program bringing an ODM, OEM, Distributor, and Resellers together driving go to market models and creating an eco-system for shared revenues between contributors and consumers
  • Led a digital twin/manufacturing project for a large Aerospace and Defense supplier driving their asset management strategy including PLM into the overall sales and operations planning for 2018. Delivered cognitive journey map for the customer
  • Led digital reinvention (industry 4.0) advisory program for a large automotive manufacturing company. This program success drove manufacturing unit within the organization to start being seen as a profit center than a cost center
  • Lead an industry 4.0 Smart Factory and Supply Chain Strategy Program at a large CPG MFG company delivering logistics 4.0 programs with IOT
  • Led a global enterprise mobility program for a large medical devices firm centered on system of engagement enablement and transformation leading to considerable process and total cost of ownership improvement

Bill Frick serves as Vice President of Business Consulting and Strategy for NTT DATA Services Manufacturing Industries group. In this role, Bill is responsible for growing the business consulting practice among the manufacturing industries.

Bill is one-part business executive and one-part tech professional. Together, these traits give him unparalleled insights into melding business strategy and operations with IT planning and execution to deliver high-impact solutions for clients. Bill joined NTT DATA Services in 2016 as part of the acquisition of Dell Services. During his 13 years with Dell, Bill held multiple leadership positions, including account director for strategic accounts and global product manager for cloud services.

Bill’s career has always straddled the business and technology disciplines from the detailed operational level all the way to the strategic, giving him a unique perspective on how to successfully leverage technology to drive business benefit. Prior to joining Dell Services, Bill spend 10 years in business and technology consulting with Deloitte & Touche and Andersen Consulting.

As a Curators Scholar, Bill earned his engineering degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and currently holds certifications in PMI, ITIL and Six Sigma.

Prior to joining ServiceMax in February 2016, Lubor led product marketing at OpenText, the leader in enterprise information management. Before OpenText, he worked at EMC, Documentum, Vignette, and Novell. From 2010-2015, he served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM). Lubor holds a computer science degree from Technical University Ilmenau in Germany and has an MBA from Santa Clara University in California. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Fred Thomas is currently the Global Industry Director for DELMIA, part of Dassault Systèmes and focuses on strategies and solutions to support global, complex discrete manufacturers. He spent 12 years with Volkswagen of America as part of the IT leadership team, responsible for manufacturing, distribution, finance and dealership management systems.

Thomas has also held senior management positions with BRAIN NA and Descartes Systems and industry positions with Baan and Novell. He has been an active industry advocate for protocol and process standardization working with organizations such as the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and The Michigan Technology Council. He is also frequently quoted in leading manufacturing publications such as Automotive Production and Design, and Manufacturing Business Technology.
